MAIN STREET ROAD CLOSURE NOTIFICATION

From 12th of February to 16th February 2024

TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION & TEMPORARY CLOSURE – A422 BANBURY ROAD/PILLERTON HERSEY ROAD, OXHILL – January 2019

Please find attached the traffic orders, notice and plans relating to the above temporary speed limit and road closure, taking place as follows:

The Speed Restriction Order will commence on 10 January 2019 and will last for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 18 January 2019.

The Closure Order will commence 21 January 2019 and will last for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed 25 January 2019.

The speed limit/closure will be advertised in the local press on the 20/12/18 & 3/1/19 and the contractor will inform local businesses and residents directly affected by this work.

Mobile Library

Mobile Library Service

As you may well be aware, the Mobile Library visits our parish once every three weeks. Please find the 2019 timetable attached which details the time, date and location of stops. Furthermore, there is also a Home Library Service across the whole of Warwickshire. This is a free Warwickshire County Council service to those who are unable to visit or use their local library or Mobile Library due to ill health or infirmity. Books can be delivered to people in their homes/nursing homes/residential complexes once every four weeks, based on their personal preferences. These events are free and open to any member of the public considering standing for election as a Parish Councillor.
We will be explaining how to become a Councillor; what is expected of you and why it can be very rewarding.
These briefings have been timed to allow consideration before the election process that will take place in May.

Broadband Event – 20 SEPTEMBER 2018

Just one week to go to the Broadband event at Stratford District Council Offices – open to all residents and businesses and free entry.

All the suppliers places have been taken up so there will be over 20 different stalls where you can discuss your choices; whether that’s for one person, a whole street or for a village.

There is no need to sign up for anything on the day.

Gigabit vouchers are available up to the value of £500 to help with set up costs.

Water Mains Replacement

Severn Trent have some water main replacement work starting in Lower Tysoe soon. The work to replace the old unreliable pipes will start w/c 1 October and will take about 6 weeks to complete. Tysoe Road will need to be closed through traffic but residents will still be able to access their properties and diversion signs will be in place.
